Molson Coors has replaced Pam Patsley with Brian Goldner on its board of directors.
Goldner may be more used to discussing Robots in Disguise in his role as CEO and president of Transformers toymaker, Hasbro, but Molson Coors believes his experience will benefit its strategy.
“His proven ability to grow multi-brand international companies will be a valuable asset in our continued pursuit to become a top global brewer,” said Molson Coors’ chairman, Peter Coors, yesterday (23 November). Coors’ statement will add to speculation that the brewer is on the lookout for acquisitions.
Goldner will be the group’s ninth independent director and he replaces Pam Patsley, who stepped down in December 2009. Molson’s board has 14 directors.
Separately, the brewer has declared a quarterly dividend of US$0.28 per share, payable on 15 December.
