The president of Interbrew has explained the need to have foreigners on its board by saying that on “”only 7% of our sales take place in Belgium.” Interbrew has the American John Brock as CEO and Frenchman Francois Jaclot as CFO.

The comments by Pierre Jean Everaert were made in La Libre Belgique. However, Everaert also said that the company intends to remain family-controlled and wants a high-ranking Belgian to join the board.

He suggested former Belgian prime minister Jean-Luc Dehaene would be a good choice.
