Barrell Craft Spirits has expanded the footprint for its Stellum Spirits line to Australia.
The two-strong range, comprising a cask-strength Bourbon and a rye whiskey, will be handled in the market by distributor Orrsum Spirits. Both will be joined by single barrel expressions later this year.
While no price point was disclosed, the Bourbon (57.49% abv) and rye (58.12% ) retail at US$54.99 each in the US.
“Stellum brings American whiskey into the modern age with simple elegant blends and single barrels selected with care and intention,” said founder Joe Beatrice. “US sales have exceeded our first-year projections in less than six months. We’re confident Australians will also embrace this exciting new brand.”
Kentucky-based Barrell Craft, which was founded eight years ago, unveiled Stellum in both the US-off-premise and online in late-March, with sales having “already exceeded the team’s expectations”.
