Australian domestic wine sales suffered a set back over the Christmas period. Sales in the home market were flat in December compared to November, at an seasonally adjusted 31.09m litres, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Compared to December 1999, sales were down a little from 31.24m litres. Total sales last fiscal year ended June 30, 2000 rose 6% to 369.27m litres from 348.35m litres a year earlier.
