The company said the result was above expectations. The robust performance – shipments were up 57% from the same period last year – was attributed in particular to strong sales of Australian brand, Banrock Station, and Blackstone from California. Unaudited sales revenues at PWP for the five months reached A$76.5m.
AUSTRALIA: BRL Hardy hails contribution from PWP
Australian wine group, BRL Hardy, said its US joint venture with Constellation Brands, Pacific Wine Partners (PWP), contributed almost A$7m in earnings in the first five months of the year. BRL Hardy said PWP's earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) reached A$13.8m, with the Australian group receiving A$6.9m.
