In a report issued on Friday, Argentina’s National Viniculture Institute said US$100.4m worth of wine and concentrated musts were exported from the country in the first half of the year. The figure represents a 17% increase on the same period last year.


In volume terms wine exports reached 83.2m litres, valued at US$73.8m.


Fine wine exports reached 35.3m litres, with a value of US$60.7m.
The leading markets for the Argentine fine wine were the US, UK Brazil South Africa and Canada.


Table wine exports totalled 46.9m litres, for a value of US$10.6m. Leading markets for table wine were South Africa, Russia, Paraguay and Uruguay.


Meanwhile, exports of concentrated musts were up to 38.7m litres, for a value of  US$26.5m.
