The US’s drinks industry registered a 3.9% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 4.46% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

Out of the drinks industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.5% share in August 2022, recording a flat growth over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in the US’s drinks industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.84% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s drinks industry in August 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 46.76% in August 2022, registering a 6.56% growth over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 26.62% share, an increase of 37.04% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.67%, registering a 5% decline from July 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 6.47%, down 30.77% over the previous month.

Top five drinks companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 8.25% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s drinks industry during August 2022 over July 2022.

PepsiCo posted 48 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a drop of 11.11% over the previous month, followed by Coca-Cola Consolidated with 26 jobs and a 13.04% growth. Niagara Bottling with 11 IT jobs and Carlsberg with 10 jobs, recorded a 450% growth and a 25% growth, respectively, while Anheuser-Busch InBev recorded a flat growth with 10 job postings during August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.87%, up by 2.38% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.42% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.99% share, up 56.25% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.72%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
