The US’s drinks industry registered a 16.7% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.47% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the drinks industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.3% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.31% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s drinks industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.2% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s drinks industry in September 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48% in September 2022, registering a 21.05% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 16% share, a decrease of 60% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 15.2%, registering a 26.92% decline from August 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 12.8%, up 14.29% over the previous month.
Top five drinks companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 30.71% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s drinks industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Nestle posted 23 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a drop of 25.81% over the previous month, followed by Coca-Cola Consolidated with 21 jobs and a 19.23% drop. PepsiCo with 18 IT jobs and Carlsberg with 16 jobs, recorded a 62.5% decline and a 45.45% growth, respectively, while Anheuser-Busch InBev recorded a decline of 9.09% with 10 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.2%, down by 32.11% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.6% share, registered a decline of 27.03% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 17.6% share, down 24.14% over August 2022.
