US-based company PepsiCo’s IT hiring rose 24.1% in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 6.1% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 3.31% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2022, and recorded a 1.05% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops PepsiCo IT hiring in May 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by PepsiCo, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 59.42% in May 2022, and a 156.25% rise over April 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 23.19% in May 2022, and registered growth of 77.78%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.25% in May 2022, a 28.57% drop from April 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at PepsiCo
North America emerged as the leading region in the global drinks IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 68.12% share, which marked a 51.61% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 21.74%, registering a 400% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 10.14% share and a 40% rise over April 2022.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s drinks industry IT hiring activity with a 66.67% share in May 2022, a 53.33% growth over April 2022. India featured next with a 21.74% share, up 400% over the previous month. Spain recorded a 5.8% share, an increase of 100% compared with April 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead PepsiCo IT hiring activity in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 49.28%, up by 41.67% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with a 23.19% share, a growth of 220% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 21.74% share, up 50% over April 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 5.8%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
