US-based company PepsiCo’s IT hiring declined 16.7% in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 11.1% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 2.39% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.62% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops PepsiCo IT hiring in September 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by PepsiCo, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 63.41% in September 2021, and a 38.1% drop over August 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 17.07% in September 2021, and registered flat growth. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 7.32% in September 2021, a 62.5% drop from August 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at PepsiCo

North America emerged as the leading region in the global consumer IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 65.85% share, which marked a 40% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 19.51%, registering a 42.86% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 12.2% share and a 50% drop over August 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 2.44% and a month-on-month flat growth.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s consumer industry IT hiring activity with a 56.1% share in September 2021, a 25.81% decline over August 2021. India featured next with a 14.63% share, down 57.14% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 9.76% share, a decline of 71.43% compared with August 2021.

Mid Level jobs lead PepsiCo IT hiring activity in September 2021

Mid Level jobs held a share of 48.78%, down by 23.08% from August 2021. Junior Level positions with a 41.46% share, a decline of 48.48% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.76% share, down 42.86% over August 2021.
