Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 41.44% in August 2022, a 2.74% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 29.83% in August 2022, marking a 42.11% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 13.81% in August 2022, a 10.71% drop from July 2022.

Top five drinks companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 5.38% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s drinks industry during August 2022 over previous month.

PepsiCo posted 56 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a decline of 8.2% over the previous month, followed by Coca-Cola Consolidated with 26 jobs and a 13.04% growth. Fomento Economico Mexicano SAB de CV with 23 IT jobs and Anheuser-Busch InBev with 21 jobs, recorded a 9.52% rise and an 8.7% drop, respectively, while Niagara Bottling recorded a 450% increase with 11 job postings during August 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s drinks industry

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s drinks industry IT hiring activity with a 76.8% share in August 2022, a 9.45% increase over July 2022. Mexico featured next with a 22.65% share, down 2.38% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 0.55% share, a flat growth compared with July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.75%, down by 2.46% from July 2022. Entry Level positions with a 17.13% share, registered a growth of 63.16% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 16.57% share, up 7.14% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.55%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
