Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 42.6% in July 2022, a 21.74% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 22.49% in July 2022, marking a 26.67% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 16.57% in July 2022, a 3.7% rise from June 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 3.85% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s drinks industry during July 2022 over previous month.
PepsiCo posted 61 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered an increase of 1.67% over the previous month, followed by Anheuser-Busch InBev with 23 jobs and a 43.75% growth. Coca-Cola Consolidated with 23 IT jobs and Fomento Economico Mexicano SAB de CV with 20 jobs, recorded an 11.54% drop and a 4.76% drop, respectively, while Carlsberg recorded a 14.29% increase with 8 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s drinks industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s drinks industry IT hiring activity with a 75.15% share in July 2022, a 7.97% decrease over June 2022. Mexico featured next with a 24.26% share, up 7.89% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 0.59% share, a flat growth compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.6%, up by 22.22% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.57% share, registered a decline of 9.68% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.24% share, down 58.7% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.59%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
