July 2022 has seen a decrease of 9.06% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.75% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering a decrease of 0.29% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 46.15% in July 2022, a 9.09% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 38.46% in July 2022, marking a 42.86% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 11.54% in July 2022, a 50% drop from June 2022.

Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. posted 8 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered an increase of 100% over the previous month, followed by Edita Food Industries with 8 jobs and a 14.29% growth. Unilever with 3 IT jobs and Almarai with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Diageo recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s consumer industry
Egypt commanded a leading presence in the region’s consumer industry IT hiring activity with a 30.77% share in July 2022, a flat growth over June 2022. Sudan featured next with a 30.77% share, up 100% over the previous month. South Africa recorded a 15.38% share, a flat growth compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 84.62%, down by 12% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with an 11.54% share, registered a growth of 200% compared with the previous month.
