Mexico’s drinks industry IT recruitment activity rises 1.1% in June 2022

Mexico’s drinks industry registered a 1.1% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 12.21% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Out of the drinks industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.25% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 0.29% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Mexico’s drinks industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s drinks industry in June 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 51.61% in June 2022, registering a 23.81% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 19.35% share, an increase of 50% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.9%, registering a 300% rise from May 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 12.9%, down 71.43% over the previous month.

Top five drinks companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 18.92% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s drinks industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

Fomento Economico Mexicano SAB de CV posted 19 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by The Coca-Cola with 4 jobs and a 42.86% drop. PepsiCo with 3 IT jobs and Embotelladoras Arca, S.A.B. de with 2 jobs, recorded a 200% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Anheuser-Busch InBev recorded a decline of 80% with 2 job postings during June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.42%, down by 29.41% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 16.13% share, registered an increase of 25% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 6.45% share, down 33.33% over May 2022.
