Germany’s consumer industry registered a 6.3% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 9.79% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.34% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.47% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s consumer industry in September 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 41.94% in September 2022, registering a 1.89% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 31.45% share, an increase of 69.57% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 15.32%, registering a 13.64% decline from August 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 10.48%, up 85.71% over the previous month.

Top five consumer companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 189.29% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s consumer industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

Hugo Boss posted 35 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Nestle with 21 jobs and a 162.5% growth. Fujitsu General with 9 IT jobs and maxingvest with 8 jobs, recorded a 50% growth and a 14.29% growth, respectively, while Ferrero Group recorded an increase of 14.29% with 8 job postings during September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.77%, up by 9.88% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.13% share, registered a decline of 9.09% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.1% share, up 150% over August 2022.
