Germany’s consumer industry IT recruitment activity rises 4.4% in July 2022

Germany’s consumer industry registered a 4.4% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.63% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.27% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.47% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s consumer industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 71.82% in July 2022, registering a 64.58% growth over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 9.09% share, a decrease of 52.38% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.18%, registering a 28.57% rise from June 2022.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 6.36%, down 53.33% over the previous month.

Top five consumer companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 55.56% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s consumer industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

HelloFresh posted 44 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 388.89% over the previous month, followed by Fujitsu General with 18 jobs and a 63.64% growth. Ferrero Group with 8 IT jobs and Essity with 7 jobs, recorded a 14.29% growth and a 600% growth, respectively, while Nestle recorded a decline of 73.08% with 7 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.27%, up by 18.06% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.36% share, registered an increase of 50% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.36% share, down 22.22% over June 2022.
