France’s consumer industry registered an 8.7% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.49% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.42% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.02% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.92% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s consumer industry in August 2022.
1) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations recorded a share of 41.67% in August 2022, registering a 100% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 29.17% share, a decrease of 26.32% over the previous month.
3) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 22.92%, registering a 26.67% decline from July 2022.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 2.08%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 21.05% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s consumer industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Unibel posted 11 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a drop of 8.33% over the previous month, followed by Nestle with 4 jobs and a 100% growth. Pernod Ricard with 3 IT jobs and Hermes International with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 25% decrease, respectively, while Philip Morris International recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.17%, flat growth from July 2022. Entry Level positions with an 18.75% share, registered an increase of 50% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 2.08% share, down 75% over July 2022.
