Brazil’s consumer industry registered a 3.1% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.84% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.67% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.23% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Brazil’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil’s consumer industry in August 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 34.29% in August 2022, registering a 50% growth over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 31.43% share, a decrease of 8.33% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 20%, registering a 40% rise from July 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 8.57%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five consumer companies in Brazil’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 22.73% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil’s consumer industry during August 2022 over July 2022.

BRF posted 12 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 33.33% over the previous month, followed by PepsiCo with 5 jobs and a 66.67% growth. PZ Cussons with 4 IT jobs and JBS with 3 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a 62.5% decrease, respectively, while Mars recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.14%, up by 3.85% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.14% share, registered an increase of 100% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.71% share, up 100% over July 2022.
