Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 39.11% in July 2022, a 15.65% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 20.16% in July 2022, marking a 5.26% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 18.95% in July 2022, a 15.32% drop from June 2022.

Top five consumer companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 11.11% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s consumer industry during July 2022 over previous month.
Haier Group posted 65 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered an increase of 4.84% over the previous month, followed by Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 53 jobs and a 20.9% drop. Charoen Pokphand Foods Public with 40 IT jobs and Panasonic with 29 jobs, recorded a 17.65% rise and a 27.5% drop, respectively, while PepsiCo recorded a 32.26% decline with 21 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s consumer industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s consumer industry IT hiring activity with a 54.84% share in July 2022, an 8.72% decrease over June 2022. China featured next with an 18.75% share, up 3.33% over the previous month. Philippines recorded a 6.05% share, a drop of 36.17% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.57%, down by 5.33% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.36% share, registered a decline of 13.68% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.86% share, down 9.3% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.2%, recording a month-on-month decline of 90%.
