On Wednesday, Heineken will report its third-quarter numbers. Here, just-drinks looks at the group's activities in the three months to the end of September:
- In the first week of July, Heineken bought United Spirits' remaining stake in India's United Breweries for INR8.72bn (US$137.2m).
- That same month, the brewer opened a US$60m brewery in Myanmar as part of a joint venture with local operator Alliance Brewery Company.
- Heineken's Scottish subsidiary, Caledonian Brewery, said it wants to roll out new craft innovations into the UK after opening a pilot brewery.
- At the end of July, Diageo pulled out of its South African and Namibian brewing joint-venture with Heineken and Namibian Breweries Ltd three years ahead of schedule.
- In September, Heineken announced it was to move into craft beer for the first time with the purchase of a 50% stake in Californian craft brewer Lagunitas Brewing Co.
- In the same month, the company released the first advertisement as part of its tie-up with the latest James Bond film, Spectre.
- It also formed a joint venture in the Ivory Coast to build a brewery and market beer in the country.
