AmBev is attempting to turn around its troubled Venezuela business and gain greater share of the country’s important beer market by signing a merger deal with Cerveceria Regional. Here, just-drinks examines the move.
 
AmBev was never going to dominate Venezuela’s beer market alone. The Anheuser-Busch InBev subsidiary has the number three brand – Brahma –  but trails market leaders Empresas Polar and Cerveceria Regional, which control close to 100% of the market.
