By GlobalDataKilbeggan Black, unveiled today, is a blended, no-age-statement whiskey that has been matured in ex-Bourbon casks. The “premium” expression, which is a permanent addition to the company’s Irish whiskey portfolio, is available at selected retailers in Ireland and Canada, via Amazon and Whiskey.de in Germany as well as through Global Travel Retail outlets in Ireland.
“For those who enjoy the Kilbeggan Traditional, Kilbeggan Black provides an elevated taste experience refined through the addition of peated malt for more character whilst still retaining the smoothness that we associate with Irish whiskey,” said Beam Suntory’s global marketing manager, Fabian Fischer.
Last month, Beam Suntory committed $1bn to company-wide sustainability upgrades under its ‘Proof Positive’ environmental initiative.
