Isle of Wight Distillery has redesigned its Mermaid Salt Vodka brand.
The company said yesterday the new-look Mermaid Salt Vodka is packaged in a white version of the bottle used for Isle of Wight gin, also called Mermaid. The redesign will be available nation-wide via wholesalers.
Launched in 2015, Mermaid Salt Vodka uses Isle of Wight salt mixed with spring water from the island. The 40%-abv vodka sells for GBP40 (US$53) per 70cl bottle.
“This… was the first time we ventured into the surrounding seas for an ingredient,” said Isle of Wight Distillery’s co-founder, Xavier Baker. “Perfect on its own over ice or with a mixer, it also really layers on a unique savoury element for cocktails that you just can’t get with other vodkas.”
The Isle of Wight Distillery overhauled the packaging for Mermaid Gin last year.
