Treasury Wine Estates has launched the final wine in the ‘g’ series from its Penfolds Grange brand extension.
The latest bottling comprises a blend of 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018 vintages from the flagship brand’s Australian winery. Limited to 2,200 bottles, Penfolds g5 will be available from selected off-premise outlets worldwide from this week.

The release coincides with Penfolds Grange’s 70th anniversary, with the ‘g’ series launching four years ago with the triple-blend Penfolds g3, followed by quadruple blend g4 in 2019.
“Each of the five vintages (in g5) sensitively brings their own personality & contribution to the blend,” said Penfolds chief winemaker Peter Gago.
Earlier this year, Treasury expanded the Penfolds portfolio with a four-strong range of red wines made from predominantly Napa Valley Cabernet parcels.
