Wemyss Family Spirits has added a limited edition blended whisky to its Wemyss Malts brand.

Smoky Shores, revealed today, has been created to mark the Scottish celebration of Burns Night on 25 January. The no-age-statemented iteration, which is limited to 5,526 units, is available to purchase globally now from the company’s website.

According to WFS, Smoky Shores is a “sister whisky “to Peat Chimney, which sits in the core range.

“Smoky Shores has an even more intense smoky flavour than Peat Chimney, a real treat for peated whisky enthusiasts,” said owner Isabella Wemyss.

The company followed a six-strong Scotch whisky launch in December by introducing recyclable packaging for its Darnley’s Gin brand last week.
