The Coca-Cola Co has added a new flavour to its Fairlife Core Power Elite protein shake brand in the US.

Core Power Elite Strawberry is the third variant in the range, joining vanilla and chocolate. The brand extension is available nationwide in 14oz bottles and online in 12-packs through Amazon and Walmart’s website.

The Core Power Elite line, which targets “athletes and fitness enthusiasts”, contains 230 calories, 42g of protein, nine essential amino acids and 7g of sugar per 14oz bottle.

Earlier this year, Coca-Cola took full ownership of Illinois-based Fairlife, upping its stake from the original 42.5%. Fairlife was founded in 2012 as a partnership between the soft drinks giant and dairy cooperative Select Milk Producers.
