Tomatin 16-Year-Old, revealed today, contains whisky that has been aged in ex-Portuguese Moscatel wine barrels. The iteration, which has been released exclusively in the Global Travel Retail (GTR) channel, is available now from selected global airports.

The expression joins Tomatin’s 8-, 12- and 21-year-old expressions in the brand’s GTR line-up.

“We are constantly striving to push the boundaries within our portfolio and our global travel retail range is no exception,” said the company’s sales director, Graham Nicholson. “The distinctive cask maturation of this 16 year old expression is an impressive and welcome addition to the range. ”

In April, Tomatin, which is part-owned by Japan’s Takara Shuzo, released the ‘Unlock The Unusual’ campaign film for its Cu Bocan Scotch brand.
