Russia’s leading beer company, Baltika, has said that it expects four local brands, launched earlier this month, will achieve annual sales of 800,000 litres.

The new brands, called Krasnoyarsk, Krasnodar, Tyumen and Sverdlovsk, are named after the cities where they will be marketed. The company said it was using relatively inexpensive materials for the products and no special advertising.

Baltika is owned by Baltic Beverage Holding (BBH), the joint venture between Scottish & Newcastle (S&N) and Carlsberg.
