The Romanian privatisation agency APAPS has announced that it has put the alcohol producer and distiller Biosin in Calafat, southern Romania up for privatisation. The deadline for submitting bids for Biosin is September 24, 2002. APAPS will sell 2.1 million shares or a 91.33% stake in Biosin in final-offer negotiations. The remaining shares are owned by the Romanian investment company SIF Oltenia.
