
British retailers have spoken out against the UK government’s upcoming deposit return scheme (DRS), claiming it could cost the industry at least £1.8bn ($2.29bn) per year from 2025.
“Without significant revision, the UK scheme risks running into many of the same problems as in Scotland,” the British Retail Consortium said.
