According to reports, Carlsberg has expressed interest in acquiring the shares but the ARP is believed to be looking for a significantly higher price than the last public offering. The reports also suggest that Carlsberg is keen to buy out the ARP which it sees as a disruptive influence. The ARP has opposed motions at the AGM and filed complaints in court.
POLAND: Carlsberg linked with Okocim share purchase
Danish brewing conglomerate, Carlsberg, is reportedly making moves to acquire a further 7.6% stake in the Polish Okocim brewery, in which it already owns a majority shareholding, from the Industrial Development Agency (ARP).
