Nemiroff has rolled out a limited-edition version of its namesake vodka brand in the UK.

Nemiroff Space Edition, revealed last week, has been created to mark the launch of Ukrainian Satellite Sich-2-30. The Ukrainian vodka producer added that aside from the iteration’s one-off packaging design, a 12th stage of filtration had been added to the production process to mark the 12 astronauts of the Apollo moon mission.

The release comes five months after the company made its UK debut, a move it described at the time as a “key milestone”.

In 2018, Nemiroff secured a global marketing tie-up with mixed martial arts brand Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Vodka volumes have enjoyed a steady climb in the UK during the last decade, GlobalData figures show. Between 2017 and 2020, the category grew at a steady compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 1.5%, in spite of a stall-out during the height of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.

From 2021 until 2026, volumes are expected to resume growth at a mildly accelerated CAGR of 1.8%.
