Florida-based Manifest Distilling has leaned on provenance cues for its latest spirits release.

Florida Botanical Gin, which launches this week, is made using botanicals grown in the company’s home state. Featuring orange, lemon, grapefruit, sumac and elderberries, the expression will initially be available to consumers from Manifest’s premises in Jacksonville.

The gin sits alongside the Manifest Whiskey Project series in the company’s portfolio.

“We approach all our spirits with the intention of showing a sense of place,” said president David Cohen. “Our Florida Botanical Gin is the first in our line-up where we looked to the flavours within our state to develop a profile highlighting the terroir of local agriculture.”
