The privately-owned company’s Heaven Hill Distillery division released details of the 13-year-old Bourbon over the weekend. The liquid was sourced from one barrel, although the specific number of bottles made available was not disclosed.

The Bourbon was distilled on 13 December 2006 and bottled on the same date last year. The date was chosen to coincide with the date Heaven Hill filled its first barrel with Bourbon in Kentucky in 1935.

Housed in a wooden box, each of the bottles is individually-numbered.

As well as the Bourbon, Heaven Hill also owns Pama Pomegranate liqueur, which was the subject of a packaging redesign earlier this year.
