The Greek wine company, Malamatinas & Son, has reported a net profit after minority interest of €4.25m (US$4.8m) for the 2002 fiscal year, representing an 18% rise from 2001.

EBITDA rose by 13% to €8.63m (US$9.7m) but the company’s gross profit margin fell from 44.7% to 42.9%. Sales revenues at Malamatinas, which specialises in the production of the Greek traditional wine, Retsina, rose by 16.6% to €27m (US$30.5m).
