Mixers company Fever-Tree has said full-year 2017 profits are expected to be “comfortably ahead of market expectations” as the firm reports bumper sales growth, driven by the UK market.
In a trading update today, Fever-Tree said full-year sales are expected to reach GBP169m (US$236m), marking a 66% increase on 2016. UK sales for the 12-month period are expected to come in 96% ahead of 2016, thanks to a busy Christmas period.
Citing IRI data, the firm said Fever-Tree is now the number one mixer brand by value in the UK off-premise.
Elsewhere, sales in continental Europe are expected to be up 42% on 2016, with the US up 39% and Rest of World sales growth predicted to be ahead by 57%.
“While we have seen strong growth across all regions, our performance in the UK over the Christmas period was once again exceptional,” said Fever-Tree co-founder & CEO Tim Warrillow. “Our growing range of mixers and formats are appealing not only to our loyal customers but also bringing consumers back to the category and importantly attracting a new younger audience.
