Dingle Single Malt is made from spirit entirely distilled at the County Kerry distillery, which opened in 2012. About 50,000 bottles will initially go on sale, with Dingle planning for sales of 100,000 units a year by 2023.

“This new core expression will provide the opportunity for the distillery to grow,” said Dingle MD Elliot Hughes. “By adding significant volume to our business, we can open up new markets and broaden our appeal to attract a new type of customer.”

The distillery already produces limited-release whiskies and, in 2019, the company launched a third single pot still expression.

While waiting for whiskey stocks to mature, Dingle launched its own gin. Speaking to Just Drinks in 2017, Hughes said the distillery had sold 100,000 bottles of the gin the previous year, with expectations for volumes to soar.
