2022: So far In Venture Capital

Global investment in 2022 has been majorly dominated by North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific, whereas the Middle East, and South and Central America have recorded low investments comparatively. In light of this, Europe and North America have been identified as the major destinations for Private Equity and Venture Capital (PE/VC) investments.   GlobalData’s whitepaper analyzes which sectors PE/VC firms have been investing in, looking at Technology, Media, and Telecom, with these sectors recording $356 billion and a deal volume of over 10,000 deals in 2022. Healthcare, Financial Services, Business & Consumer Services, and Construction sectors have also seen high investment activity by PE/VC firms, recording a deal value of over $70 billion each.   But what can this mean for you?   Understand how the Deals Database on GlobalData Explorer can be leveraged to:

The privately-owned company, which launched four Tequila expressions in the US four years ago, is set to hit markets across Latin America and the Caribbean through the deal. Monarq will also handle the portfolio, which has since grown to five iterations, in the Travel Retail channel both in the region as well as in the US.

Alongside Código 1530 Blanco, Reposado, Anejo and Origen will be Rosa Tequila, a coloured expression produced by finishing the Blanco in ex-Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from California’s Napa Valley for four weeks.

Monarq’s representation in the new markets takes effect from this month.

“We have been carefully following and analysing the latest trends in the Tequila category, especially in its leading export market, the US,” said Monarq CEO Robert de Monchy. “During the last decade, consumers have been constantly trading up to higher-quality products.

“Código 1530 Tequila is very well-positioned in the ultra-premium segment of the market, while also offering a unique proposition of natural pink Tequila … . . We are truly excited to partner with Código 1530 Tequila, introducing this wonderful brand in the domestic and duty-free markets of Latin America and the Caribbean plus US duty-free.”

Codigo will join Gruppo Montenegro on Monarq’s books in the regions, after the Amaro Montenegro brand owner partnered with the distributor a year ago.
