Exports of Chilean wine reached US$250.2m in the first five months of 2003, a 7.3% increase on the same period in 2002., according to the latest reports in the Chilean press.


Volumes in the same period increase 11% to 153.6m litres.


Bottled wine accounts for US$220.5m of the total exports, up 5.6%. Meanwhile bottled volumes reached 10.4m 9-liter cases, up 10.6% on a year before.


However the average price of bottled wine fell 5.2%.
