Brown‑Forman has appointed David Rodiek as its new MD of Global Travel Retail (GTR) operations. Rodiek replaces Aude Bourdier in the role, who has transitioned to the position of MD for Brown‑Forman’s ‘France/BeLux’ division. He will assume the role on 1 June, according to the group. Rodiek joined Brown‑Forman in 2005 and most recently held the position of MD for the company’s ‘Developing Europe’ division, where he led strategies to grow in the group's 30 distributor markets in the region. He has previously held commercial and marketing roles for the company across Southern/Eastern Europe as well as in South Africa and Russia. “I feel optimistic about the opportunity ahead and the path that (Aude Bourdier) and her team laid out,” said Brown-Forman's president of 'emerging international', Thomas Hinrich. “Aude now moves on to an exciting new opportunity leading France and BeLux, key markets for Brown‑Forman. “The leadership change … is done in the spirit of continuity with our strategy and plans for GTR, and reinforces the commitment that we are making to the GTR channel and our customers for the long term,” he continued. “We are confident that we have the key strategies and initiatives in place to fully fuel that growth with David Rodiek at the helm.” Earlier this week, Brown-Forman readied the release of four Scotch whiskies from its Benriach single malt for sale exclusively via GTR. The quartet includes a 22-year-old expression that is the brand’s oldest triple-distilled release to date.
