AUSTRALIA: Winemaker ignites “sell-by date” debate
Australian wine maker Palandri Wines has reignited the debate of over use-by dates for wine bottles. Palandri chairman Darrel Jarvis believes that for young white wines in the A$8 to $12 bracket drink-by dates would guarantee quality. He added that as use-by dates are given to other perishable products they should also apply to wine's most age-dependent varietals, many of which are meant to be drunk within six months of release.
