Accolade Wines has expanded its Jam Shed portfolio in the UK for the second time in six months.
Jam Shed Chardonnay, the first white wine under the Jam Shed brand, will roll out nationwide this month. The varietal, which carries an SRP of GBP7 (US$9.60) per 75cl bottle, joins the Malbec that Accolade released in August as the brand’s first extension.
The third wine in the brand’s portfolio is a South Australian Shiraz.
Accolade said Jam Shed Chardonnay taps into a loyal consumer base for Jam Shed and will also help capture a new audience. “Jam Shed’s expansion into Malbec proved to be a hit with consumers,” said brand manager Lindsay Holas. “This gives us confidence that the time is right to introduce our first-ever white grape variety to the Jam Shed family.”
Accolade has also recently expanded its vineyard footprint. Last month, the company bought Rolf Binder Wines in South Australia’s Barossa Valley.
