Mexico’s consumer industry registered a 15.5% drop in IT hiring activity in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 23.58% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.66% share in November 2022, recording an increase of 0.6% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Mexico’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s consumer industry in November 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 34.69% in November 2022, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 28.57% share, a decrease of 17.65% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 20.41%, registering a 68.75% decline from October 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 14.29%, down 30% over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 24.44% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s consumer industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
PepsiCo posted 11 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 42.11% over the previous month, followed by Panasonic with 10 jobs and a 9.09% drop. Anheuser-Busch InBev with 8 IT jobs and Colgate-Palmolive with 3 jobs, recorded a 38.46% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Sigma Alimentos recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.31%, down by 49.21% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with an 18.37% share, registered an increase of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.33% share, up 33.33% over October 2022.
