The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.01% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.81% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.42% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 42.17% in September 2022, registering a 40.49% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 23.04% share, a decrease of 11.67% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 17.39%, registering a 4.76% decline from August 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 14.35%, down 36.54% over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 14.75% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s consumer industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Charoen Pokphand Foods Public posted 57 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 1.79% over the previous month, followed by Panasonic with 35 jobs and a 16.67% growth. Carlsberg with 17 IT jobs and Zebra with 17 jobs, recorded a 41.67% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while PepsiCo recorded an increase of 100% with 14 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.87%, down by 28.51% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.74% share, registered a decline of 29.58% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.52% share, down 28.57% over August 2022.
