IT jobs accounted for a 1.61% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in May 2022, registering an increase of 0.54% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in May 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 44.44% in May 2022, a 60% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 38.89% in May 2022, marking an 180% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 8.33% in May 2022, a 25% drop from April 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 141.67% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s drinks industry during May 2022 over previous month.
PepsiCo posted 15 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered an increase of 400% over the previous month, followed by Carlsberg with 4 jobs and a flat growth. Coca-Cola Europacific Partners with 4 IT jobs and The Coca-Cola with 3 jobs, recorded a 42.86% drop and a 200% rise, respectively, while San Miguel recorded a 200% increase with 3 job postings during May 2022.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s drinks industry IT hiring activity with a 58.33% share in May 2022, a 320% increase over April 2022. Philippines featured next with a 13.89% share, up 66.67% over the previous month. Thailand recorded an 8.33% share, a flat growth compared with April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.22%, up by 62.5% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with a 16.67% share, registered a growth of 500% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 8.33% share, flat growth over April 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.78%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
