The company was expecting to record turnover for the full year of €80m ($78m), a gain year-on-year of some 9.6%. While the decline in the first half appears to put that forecast in doubt, the company stated that the second half of the year usually accounts for two thirds of its Champagne sales.
FRANCE: Turnover down at Boizel
The Champagne house, Boizel Chanoine Champagne, has reported turnover of €24.5m ($23.9m) for the first half of 2002, representing a 1.3% fall from the first six months of 2001.
