The Coca-Cola Co will report its first-half and second-quarter results tomorrow (22 July). Here, just-drinks takes a look at the group's highs and lows in the three months to the end of June:
- At the start of April, the company launched a sparkling fruit juice under its Innocent brand in the UK. In the same month, the company rolled out a Coca-Cola Life TV advert in Australia
- On 13 April, Coca-Cola ended its 28-year sponsorship of the NBA in the US, announcing a tie-up with US soccer shortly afterwards
- Later in April, the company offered to buy Chinese protein drinks maker Xiamen Culiangwang Beverage Technology in a deal worth US$400m. Then, in its Q1 results, Coca-Cola Co saw sales rise but profits fall
- Plans for a bottling plant in India had to be abandoned towards the end of April, due to the ongoing issue of groundwater
- Another month, another launch and at the start of May, Innocent Coconut Water made its debut in the UK. Across the pond, the group promoted its North American head
- At the end of May, the firm said it was phasing out Coke Light in Russia and replacing it with the newly-launched Coke Zero
- In June, Coca-Cola said it had finalised agreements with two bottling partners over new distribution territories. Later in the month, Friends actress Jennifer Aniston became the face of the company's Smartwater ad campaign.
