Hit by a succession of small wine harvests in recent years, Bordeaux’s 2016 crop is set to be the biggest since 2009, easing pressure on the region’s stocks considerably.
 
In 2013, Bordeaux recorded its smallest crop since 1991 with volumes only totalling just over 3.8m hectolitres. Since then, the wine region has suffered from modest harvests.
