The UK arm of JF Hillebrand has acquired ABV Logistics in the country.
The global beer, spirits and wine logistics provider said yesterday (18 January) that it has purchased the specialist beverage forwarded for an undisclosed sum.
“With this acquisition, we are able to augment our extensive global range of services using ABV Logistics’ particular strength in Iberia and Italy, where their service coverage is impressive,” said the chairman of Hillebrand UK, Tom Yusef.
The two businesses will continue to operate as normal and all customer contacts remain unchanged. However, the ABV Logistics team, currently based in Wickford, is expected relocate to Hillebrand UK’s West Thurrock offices “in due course”.
ABV directors Gary Gordon and Daniel Morris will join the board of Hillebrand UK.
Back in March 2008, Hillebrand launched a ‘wine only’ train service in the UK.
