The two-day event is a new conference from Arena International, the sister events arm of Just Drinks.

Taking place on 4 and 5 November at Hilton London Bankside, Next Generation Ingredients will also see executives from Mondelez International, Bakkavor and Rousselot discuss the key themes shaping the ingredients sector.

The programme includes roundtables to dive deeper into key topics, supporting your opportunities to network.

During the first morning, executives from Unilever, soft-drinks major Nichols and UK-based nutrition group THG will explore where (and how) the larger food and drinks companies are investing in ingredients in areas from reformulation to M&A.

Later, collagen and gelatin supplier Rousselot will dig into GLP-1 drugs – one of the hot topics in food and drinks –and how the medication is affecting product development.

The first day will also see Mondelez International reflect on how global macroeconomic and political instability are affecting companies’ ingredients strategies, while Mars will discuss consumer trends

The first afternoon includes two panel sessions. One will focus on personalisation and features executives from supplements brand BetterYou, gut-health foods firm The Gut Stuff, D2C frozen-meals company The Field Doctor and matcha-drinks business PerfectTed.

The second panel centres on sourcing and will hear from executives from Associated British Foods and Unrooted Drinks, plus The Fairtrade Foundation and The University of Nottingham.

Day two kicks off with Greencore’s head of innovation discussing global cuisine, followed by a panel exploring the ways start-ups and bigger companies tackle NPD.

Mid-morning on day two will see Greencore takeover target Bakkavor focus on the benefits and trade-offs from reformulation.

During the afternoon, The Gut Stuff and UK grocer The Co-op will discuss retail strategy before a panel including Mondelez, supplements business Zooki, prebiotics firm Myota Health and the European Advertising Standards Alliancelooks at the use of functional ingredients.
